Coordinated Pathway: Master of Management in AI and Analytics

DeGroote School of Business and S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research

A partnership between the DeGroote School of Business, Master of Management in AI and Analytics (MMAIA) program and SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR)

Prepare for a DeGroote MMAIA degree while you are in India. Begin with six months of global management education at SPJIMR in Mumbai, then continue into DeGroote’s Master of Management in AI and Analytics in Canada. The coursework you complete at SPJIMR is recognized toward your McMaster degree, so you arrive ready to go further, shorten the length of your MMAIA degree, and obtain two credentials and two alumni networks by the time you finish.

This coordinated pathway gives you the opportunity to build a broad foundation in global management, then develop advanced, hands-on expertise in AI and analytics. Learn to connect technical skills with business decision-making through machine learning, generative AI, analytics and applied industry projects, while gaining international experience, access to a Canadian work term and two alumni networks.

In approximately 18 months of combined study, you can earn two credentials and graduate prepared to turn data into decisions and lead change across industries.

Why choose the coordinated program approach

Applied AI and Analytics Expertise: The MMAIA builds hands-on capability in machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and prescriptive and simulation analytics, using Python, R, SQL, Tableau and cloud platforms. The program received Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence recognition.

Broader Business Perspective: The GMP covers management, finance and fintech, digital technology and business analytics, academic research and international business, giving students a general management foundation before they specialize via the MMAIA.

Leadership Development: SPJIMR’s GMP is built around developing responsible leaders who can manage across geographies. The MMAIA extends this with Communication, Leadership and Change Management skillsets.  Students also complete an ethics and regulation course.

Global Perspective: Study in Mumbai and Canada, with exposure to foreign language and intercultural management at SPJIMR and access to a work term with a Canadian employer.

Expanded Career Opportunities: An eight-month Industry-Partnered Project, access to a four-month work term, career workshops and coaching, and alumni networks at both SPJIMR and McMaster.
